    really depends what area you want to specialize in most..for example the network administrator where I work has GSEC, GCIH and CEH certifications, which are all mostly security and incident response related. I would also say any SANS institute certifications are good too and reputable.

    that depends on the school and the exact classes you take. I’d suggest researching it a bit and speak to a councilor to make sure the transition will go smoothly. but yeah most of the classes tend to be the same. so a lot of schools will take the credits. ie from a community college towards a university or state college. that is the typical transition.

    I would think so, honestly anything more than a HS diploma always looks good. Some companies have some pretty high standards, but sometimes if they see someone with a cert. and the intent of getting a full degree they will look favorably on it. Never hurts to try. And most classes you do for a cert can be put towards a degree as well.
